The Artist - Tom Britto took his first steps to become a world class recognized painter at the age of 14. Along the years his passion for art developed from his interest in music. In 1972, he participated at the musical festival in Bahia (festival de Corooaci) and was granted the highest awards for the best music, lyrics, and interpretation. In his heart the desire to dedicate himself to painting grew stronger, and since 1990 painting has taken his complete attention and time. At the UNIFOR (Universidade Federal de Fortaleza), Tom participated in various art expo's where he received various awards. Other prestigious expo's took place in Germany, United States, Italy, France, England, and Angola to name a few. In Angola the exposition was of great success and the local Portuguese language assisted the event's successful achievement in Rwanda. Tom is an accomplished artist, and his work is a symbol of life and love - on canvas the artist expresses his vision of the world. Bright and vivid colors and a vision for beauty and folclore are readily observed on the work of the artist. Tom Britto's work has been used by organizations to "beutify" their products, and his work is currently being displayed in more than 35 Countries around the world.
